The ACV aims to be the peak body representing cattle veterinarians in Australia.
We achieve this by having a high visibility presence:
- With members
- through communication via electronic, written and oral means
- With industry
- through industry events via presentations at high profile events, web presence and targeted rural media (advertising and editorial) and other avenues of rural communication (eg posters at saleyards).
- We have representation on the Cattle Council of Australia, (with whom we have associate membership) AMAC, Dairy Australia and other industry bodies.
- With the general public
- through web page and general media media releases and articles
- through quality control schemes such as
- NCPD - the National Cattle Pregnancy Diagnosis scheme
- BBSE - the Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation scheme
- Through cross promotion and referral from our links with the AVA national Office
